Luciana Suarez

Born into a family of artists, Luciana has always had the gift of self-expression. When she stumbled upon the small fishing village of Sayulita a decade ago, she got to work creating a life that allows her to spend half of the year in her hometown of Venice, CA, and the other half of the year in Mexico, quietly living the dream. Sayulita is a magic place, nested between the Pacific Ocean and dense jungle in the state of Nayarit, where a unique blend of fisherman, surfers, ex-pats, travelers and the Huichol people, who some say are the best preserved pre-Colombian tribe in the Americas, live. Ushu Salvation was born out of Luciana’s desire to be able to source special, handcrafted textiles from her favorite locations and bring them to people who will appreciate them as much as she appreciates her Mexican community.
